At CES 2016, the Chinese manufacturer Huawei has introduced the Huawei Mate 8 smartphone.
 
The new smartphone features stylish design, a high-capacity battery and the most powerful chipset. The software and hardware of the device have been fine-tuned to provide an efficient experience.

Kevin Ho, President of Huawei, said that with the Huawei Mate 8, they have delivered a smartphone that fulfils the requirements of a new style of business. With this fast designed smartphone, owners can work more efficiently.

Ho further said that the Huawei Mate 8 strikes the perfect balance between long battery life and high performance, allowing people to be more productive and stay connected.

The Mate 8 is the first smartphone to run the Kirin 950 chipset and has a 6-inch high contrast display, according to The Inquirer. It has Sony 16 mp IMX298 rear-facing camera and an 8 mp front-facing camera. Huawei Mate 8 is powered by 4 x A72 2.3 GHz and 4 x A53 1.8 GHz processors.

The new device has 4000mAh battery and runs on Huawei's EMUI 4.0, based on Android Marshmallow 6.0, Android Headlines reported. In addition, it comes with rapid charging technology that allows the Mate 8 to charge a day's worth of power in half an hour. The phone sports a split-screen mode that allows multitasking between apps.

The phone also offers a microSD card lock that prevents other people from accessing the data on it.

At the back, it offers a circular fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is available in space gray,  moonlight silver and champagne gold colours.

The Huawei Mate 8 is available in two versions- 4GB + 64GB for 699 euros and 3GB +32GB at 599 euros. The smartphone has been unveiled in 30 countries including Australia, United Arab Emirates, Germany, France and Spain initially.
