HMD Global unveiled the Nokia 3, 5, and 6 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. The company is expected to launch more phones likely Nokia 7, 8 and 9 in the second half of this year 2017.
The Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 smartphones are now being made available in various markets across the world. At the same time, HMD Global also prepping on the release of the upcoming Nokia phones in the third quarter of 2017. In an interview, Ajey Mehta, the president of HMD Global stated that the upcoming new phones of Nokia will be launching by the end of Q2. With the upcoming Nokia phones, the company aims to reach out to different types of customers with varied price points, BGR reported.
The alleged Nokia 7, Nokia 8 and Nokia 9 have appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform. The Geekbench listing for the alleged Nokia 7 suggests that it could be powered by Snapdragon 626 or the newly launched Snapdragon 660 SoC. It features 3 GB of RAM. The other phone that is speculated as Nokia 8 is said to be running on Snapdragon 630 chipset. The SoC is accompanied with 2 GB of RAM, Gizbot reported. Previous rumors have suggested that the Nokia 7 is likely to support full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1920 pixels, while the Nokia 8 is pegged to feature a quad HD resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels.
The Geekbench listing of the alleged Nokia 9 that is labelled as Unknown Heart is powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4 GB RAM. Rumors have it that Nokia 9 will be costing $700. The smartphone is pegged to come with a 5.3-inch AMOLED display that will be supporting a quad HD resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels. It is speculated to feature a 22-megapixel dual rear camera and a 12-megapixel front shooter. The smartphone is said to boast a 3,800 mAh capacity battery. All the phones are expected to be running on Android Nougat
