(Photo : YouTube) Tekken 7 will be receiving its first DLC this summer with a host of new costumes, returning game mode, guest characters, and the like.

The latest details for "Tekken 7" will feature a new patch update for the PC version and Bandai Namco and Capcom's new partnership will likely revive "Tekken X Street Fighter."

Bandai Namco Entertainment released a minor patch update for "Tekken 7" for the PC, as the new patch will address some improvements on its matchmaking system that prevents regular players from being matched with potential hackers. However, the patch notes do not provide any clarification to the change.

The Japanese game developer could be referring to bots, through which players tend to amass in-game currency or free wins on the bottom rungs of the ladder. Either that or it is in reference to how the anti-tamper technology of Denuvo was cracked for "Tekken 7" within days of its release.

A couple of weeks back, Bandai Namco released a new security update to address the hack. It is possible that the latest update for "Tekken 7" is simply following up with further adjustments.

The game patch also address several in-game errors for "Tekken 7" in the PC such as fixes an issue where the leaderboard only shows until the 97th rank and players cannot jump to their own ranking. Issues on players cannot resume the game after minimizing the app’s Window. Updates the matching version to ensure hackers will not be matched with legit users anymore.

That patch also fixes Nina’s Ivory Cutter, Eddy’s rage arts and Miguel’s power crash move. As well as issues where both controls are assigned to 1P in VERSUS battle, keyboard becomes unresponsive after reconnecting USB devices and customized Kazuya’s 3D model partially disappears, PC Gamer reported.

In other news, Capcom has entered a new business partnership with Bandai Namco in order to improve the online matchmaking features of their games and vice versa.

"Street Fighter" was named among the titles to benefit from the new Capcom/Bandai Namco partnership, even if the press release does not explicitly mention "Street Fighter 5." Capcom had several issues on the sequel regarding online usage and seeing as how "Tekken 7's" online function caught the eyes of many gaming fans, perhaps the partnership could help the latter to improve the online experience based on Bandai Namco's suggestions.

Hopefully, Capcom could achieve improvement on the online matchmaking experience, and also allow them to accelerate releasing of new content, since it will not have to spend as much time and resources on networking, VG 24/7 reported.

With this in mind, gaming fans are wondering if Capcom and Bandai Namco's new partnership could beyond that as many are thinking this could revive the development of "Tekken X Street Fighter."

Bandai Namco halted the development of "Tekken X Street Fighter" as game producer Katsuhiro Harada stated that the reason is because they did not want to split the "Tekken" and "Street Fighter" communities.

"Tekken X Street Fighter" is still currently on hold and Harada added that timing for the game is not right. When asked if players can still expect the game to be out at some point, Harada explained that releasing the second crossover will be fitting when everybody has forgotten about, and it would have the most impact, marketing-wise. As such, the development team should not expect the game to be released anytime soon.

Harada added that "Tekken X Street Fighter" will be possible depending on the success of "Tekken 7" and Capcom's "Street Fighter 5" in terms of sales.

"Tekken 7" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platform.
