The Apple iPad Air 3 rumors are indicating that it will be powered by Apple A9X chipset whereas the iPhone 5se will be arriving with Apple A9 onboard.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro that was unleashed in the last quarter of 2015 is powered by Apple A9X chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The iPad Air 3 that is likely to get unveiled next month is also expected to feature the same Apple A9X SoC, Bloomberg reported. It will be accompanied by 4 GB of RAM.

Since the iPad Air 3 is expected to borrow several specs and features from iPad Pro, the former is expected to be a smaller edition of the large-sized Apple tablet. Rumor mill suggests that the iPad Air 3 will be equipped with four sets of speakers like the ones found on the iPad Pro.

Another new feature that will be coming on the iPad Air 3 is the Smart Connector slot. Owners of iPad Air 3 tablet will be able to easily connect a Smart Keyboard built by Apple or a third-party provider. The Smart Connector feature was introduced on the Apple iPad Pro.

One of the striking new features of the iPad Air 3 is that it will be arriving with an exclusive LED flash for its rear camera. No other iPad tablets launched in the past feature a rear-facing LED flash.

The iPhone 5se is a small-sized iPhone that is slated to get unleashed with iPad Air 3. Speculations are rife that the 4-iinch iPhone will be powered by the most recent Apple A9 chipset. It is the same SoC that powers the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus smartphones.

If the rumor about Apple A9 for iPhone 5se comes true, the smartphone will be capable of delivering better performance than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones that are powered by Apple A8 chipset. The Apple A9 SoC is said to capable of producing 50 percent faster performance than the Apple A8.

The Apple A8 chip on iPhone 6 and 6 Plus smartphones are supported by 2 GB of RAM. However, the iPhone 5se is expected to feature 1 GB of RAM. The iPhone 5se is expected to be priced around $500 for the base model, Apple Insider reported. The iPad Air 3 and iPhone 5se are expected to get revealed on March 15 and be available for purchase by March 18.
