Speculations are rife that Apple is launching more colored bands for its Apple watches in the luxurious Hermes collection.
According to 9to5 Mac, the new colored bands are expected to be unveiled with the Apple iPad Air 3 at the upcoming March event.
Apple Watch Hermes has been available for purchasing online from Jan. end. Customers have been buying it from Apple's online stores and also from Hermes online shop. The Hermes collection was announced in the iPhone 6s launch event, which was held in September last year. The Hermes collection of Apple Watch starts at $1,100 for a Single Tour Strap, for $1,250 for a Double Tour Strap, and for $1,500 for the leather Cuff strap.
All three band options went on sale from Jan. 22. Customers can easily buy the watch sitting in the comfort of their home, instead of visiting a select store in a major city like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco or Miami. All the three straps also come with an exclusive Hermès watch face.
This custom design cannot be found in other Apple Watches. At the moment, the Hermès collection is only available to be bought from select shops in a few U.S. cities. However, soon it is expected to be accessible at many other places.
As for the specs, the Hermes Apple Watch Collection will be a French luxury watch. It will be equipped with a ceramic back. This model will come with a 38 mm 316L stainless steel Apple Watch along with three special software watch faces in Hermès fonts.
All the Apple Watch devices are currently controlled with a Digital Crown and also a Retina caliber display, which includes the Force Touch capability. This helps the device to differentiate between a light tap and a heavier click.
All the Apple Watch can be paired with an iPhone 5 or a newer iPhone model. The battery life of this watch is estimated up to 18 hours. It will be roughly able to handle up to three hours of talk time, 6.5 hours of playback or working out, and 72 hours of low power usage.
The customers can charge it with a custom inductive charger which is equipped with the MagSafe capability.
Meanwhile, according to Business Insider, the upcoming Apple Watch 2 is expected to have some incremental changes and a much better interface.
