It could be that the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus dominate the rumor mill on Apple's planned releases this 2016 but the tech giant certainly has more to surprise to unwrap and if analysts' projections are to be believed the series of unveilings will start as early as March, likely with a new iPhone edition.
iPhone Mini unboxing?
The initial salvo for Apple this 2016 is said to be a new iPhone model but not really the flagship iPhone 7. The tech giant is hosting an event on March 2016 and persistent rumors indicate that a 4-inch iPhone will be revealed by company CEO Tim Cook.
The device is a scaled down version of the iPhone 6S with more than decent specs - A9 processing chip and 2GB of RAM for instance. Early reports say that the smallest of the iPhones is designed to bump off the iPhone 5S and 5C, leading most to believe that the handset's official label would be iPhone 6C.
However, recent rumors that came out indicate that Apple favors the name iPhone Mini.
Apple Watch 2
Apple's smartwatch has yet to reach the level of success that the tech giant anticipates but a follow up appears to be already on the way. Media reports say that alongside the iPhone Mini, the Apple Watch 2 will be presented. The timepiece, in fact, is intended to be the star of the show.
iPad Air 3
Two iPads came out last year - the iPad Mini 4 and the giant iPad Pro. The latter seems to have convinced Apple to not refresh the iPad Air 2, likely saving the third instalment at a later date. Apple watchers believe that the Air 3 is crashing the scene this 2016, possibly in the second half of the year, with game-changing features. What exactly the feature upgrades are remains a mystery.
Bigger MacBook Air
BGR is convinced that the MacBook Air is here to stay and Apple is possibly planning a refresh this 2016, which actually will be an upsize move. Fans can expect a 15-inch build to join the existing MacBook Air line up, BGR said in a new report.
Fully revised and more powerful iPhone 7, 7 Plus
The ramblings coming from Apple's supply chain sources indicate that the next iPhone will look entirely different from that of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Gone will be the physical Home button on the front panel and likely the 3.5mm audio jack, which make the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus the slimmest iOS-powered smartphone ever.
But the battery juice of the 2016 iPhones will be at a higher level with A10 c hip powering up the flagships that pretty much ensure of mightier mobile computing prowess and extend battery life. It is a given that on release date, iOS 10 will run the show that is both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
