"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will feature the possible launch date for the patch 1.12 and Super Turbo Lighting Mod this month, as well as new characters, monsters and mod tools for 'Blood and Wine' DLC.
CD Projekt RED announce that a new patch update for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will launch sometime this month as Community Manager Marcin Momot stated that patch 1.12 update be available along with the second expansion, "Blood and Wine".
So far, no new information has been given about patch 1.12 except for the usual bug fixes and enhancements for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt". However, PC modder Essenthy shared several screenshots for a new mod gameplay in the sequel called "Super Turbo Lighting Mod", which allows gamers to the overhaul "The WItcher 3's" lighting system, enhancing its visual effect, WCCF Tech reported.
The new mod would allow gamers to enhance several visual effects from locations such as Novigrad, Skellige and Velen to day and night settings, making them more impressive and beautiful to look at on screen. Modders can fix the brightness during night time in order for them to see everything clearly.
Aside from the patch 1.12 and Super Turbo Lightning mod, the "Blood and Wine" DLC will feature new characters, monsters and a new ModKit tools.
According to game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the new expansion will have 20 hours of gameplay time, which is longer than the previous expansion, "Hearts of Stone". The story of "Blood and Wine" will have Geralt travel to the region of Touissant, were in its peaceful atmosphere lies a very dark and dangerous secret.
"Blood and Wine" will deliver a unique gameplay feature similar to "Hearts of Stone" as Geralt will be facing new monsters such as Stringas, Bruxas and Manticores. There are also old and new faces that Geralt will encounter in the second expansion such as the sorceress Fringello Vigo, her cousin the Duchess of Touissant Anna Henriatta and evil sorcerer Vilgefortz.
There is also a new ModKit in second expansion called the RedKit 3 Mod Tools which is first found in the Nexus mod. Although the mod was removed from the website, it did not stop users who have downloaded it from using its tool set on "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and CD Projekt RED has been investigating the said modkit as they did not launch any content that came from them in the first place.
"Blood and Wine" is said to launch in the first quarter this year probably around January-June as CD Projekt RED is currently in discussion as to when they will announce its release date, CrossMaps reported.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available in stores for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
