AnTuTu, the popular benchmarking app, has revealed the list of top 10 best performance smartphones for Q1 2016.
The statistics of AnTuTu's best performance smartphone list have been calculated using the AnTuTu Benchmark v6.0 app. The median score of each phone has been calculated by taking into multiple readings.
The number one spot on the top 10 best performance smartphones for the first quarter of this year goes to Xiaomi Mi 5, the official website of AnTuTu reported. The flagship smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 820 by Qualcomm.
It is the same chipset that powers other flagships of this year such as Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, LG G5, HTC 10 and other forthcoming smartphones. The Snapdragon 820 will be succeeded by Snapdragon 830 SoC but it is speculated to get announced later this year.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge that features 4 GB of RAM is on the second place with an average score of 134599. There is no confirmation on whether the S7 Edge present on AnTuTu's list is powered by Samsung Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820.
The Apple iPhone 6S that was announced in September 2015 is on the third place with a score of 133781. The iPhone 6S is fueled by Apple A9 SoC and 2 GB of RAM. The same chipset and RAM combination can be found inside the Apple iPhone SE (Special Edition) smartphone that was announced in the previous month.
The fourth spot goes to HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC powered Huawei Mate 8. The Mate 8 has scored 91157 on AnTuTu. The Meizu Pro 5 featuring Exynos 7420 chipset by Samsung is on the fifth position with a score of 86322, Phone Arena reported. The 64 GB storage versions of Mate 8 and Meizu Pro 5 come with 4 GB of RAM whereas their 32 GB models house 3 GB of RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 fueled by Exynos 7420 SoC is on the sixth position with an 83364 score. The Samsung phablet features 4 GB of RAM. LETV Max that is powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC and 4 GB of RAM has scored 81584 and occupied seventh place on AnTuTu's top 10 best performing smartphones for Q1 2016.
On eighth position is the Apple iPhone 6 with a score of 80223. The Vivo Xplay5 (Standard Edition) with a score of 78545 in on the ninth spot. The last place on the list belongs to Samsung Galaxy S6 that has scored 76912.
