Meizu Pro 6 is now official with topnotch specs like 3D Press enabled display and a ten-core processor.
Meizu has officially launched the Meizu Pro 6 to replace last year's Meizu Pro 5 smartphone. It is fitted with a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen that supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Meizu has surprised its fans by reducing the size of the display on Pro 6 as its predecessor model is fitted with a 5.7-inch screen.
The 5.2-inch display of Meizu Pro 6 supports 3D Press. This feature is similar to the 3D Touch feature of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, Phone Arena reported. It allows the display to differentiate between different touch gestures on the screen and deliver appropriate feedback. The Gorilla Glass 3 layer protects the display of the Pro 6.
It is powered by the most powerful MediaTek chipset called Helio X25 that features a deca-core processor and Mali-T880 graphics. The ten-core processor delivers a clocking speed of 2.5 GHz. The SoC is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The Helio X25 is an overclocked version of Helio X20 chipset by MediaTek.
The Meizu Pro 6 is available in two native storage versions of 32 GB and 64 GB. For more storage, users can add up to 128 GB of microSD on its additional storage. It also features a fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS is modified with the Flyme 5.5 UI from Meizu.
On its rear panel, there is a 21 MP camera that features a Sony IMX 230 sensor. It comes with features like laser autofocus and 10-LED flash. For shooting selfies, the smartphone offers 5 MP snapper on the front side.
For LTE and VoLTE, the Meizu Pro 6 is equipped with a Cat.6 LTE modem. The Pro 6 is packed with a 2560 mAh battery that can charge from zero to 100 percent in just 1 hour. It sports a slim profile of 7.25 inches and it weighs 160 grams. It comes in color options like gray, red, silver, gold, and rose gold.
The 32 GB Meizu Pro 6 is priced around $386 whereas its 64 GB variant can be purchased for $433. It will be exclusively available in China starting from April 23, GSM Arena reported. However, Meizu is expected to release international edition of Pro 6 in the near future.
