There has been tough competition between Apple and Microsoft over smartphones, tablets and laptops, as both brands have come up with impressive tablets but with notable differences - the iPad Pro and Surface Pro 4.
According to Tim Cook at the launch of iPad Pro, it is the perfect exhibition of the future of Personal computing. Meanwhile, Microsoft launched the Surface Pro, the latest among Microsoft's tablets and better than the Surface Pro 3.
Here is a comparison of the two tablets:
Apple iPad Pro provides an internal storage of 32GB, 128GB or even 256GB, whereas Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 gives internal storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. So when it comes to memory offerings, Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 stands above the iPad Pro significantly. Also, iPad Pro has 2GB RAM, while Microsoft offers RAM levels ranging from 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. In addition, the battery capacity of iPad Pro is said to be higher than that of Surface Pro 4.
According to Ars Technica, the iPad Pro of 9.7 inch attracts artists who love to create modern art works using technical tools. This is because of the compatibility of the 9.7 inch iPad Pro with the Apple Pencil. Meanwhile, according to Tech Radar, Surface Pro 4 supports an upgraded Type Cover that helps it work similar to a laptop's keyboard. This feature makes it capable to use it just like a laptop when there is a lot of typing work to do.
The iPad Pro costs between $799 - $1,067 while the Surface Pro 4 is priced between $899 - $1,028. Both have the same camera pixels, same weight and same size approximately. The iPad Pro's four speakers give a great sound quality and beats Surface Pro 4's sound effects.
Hence, both have their advantages and disadvantages, somewhere one being much better than the other.
