Xiaomi, which is known to offer affordable yet powerful smartphones, has come up with the Redmi 3 Pro after releasing Redmi 3 device.The Redmi 3 Pro has a fingerprint scanner at the back which sets it apart from other smartphones offering the feature. The Redmi 3 Pro, which has a price tag of $140 (INR 8,199 or RMB 899), is said to go on sale starting April.
The new Pro-variant smartphone of Redmi 3 offers new specs and better features when compared to its previous versions. Xiaomi says that the Redmi 3 phone launch in India is going to be skipped and the Redmi 3 Pro will be launched instead.

Redmi 3 Pro has a 5-inch (1280 x 768) resolution HD display, and has a metal body with curved edges. The device comes with 3 different color variants - gold, grey and silver.
Compared to its predecessors, Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro's RAM is upgraded from 2GB (Redmi 3) to 3GB of RAM. If Redmi 3 is packed with Octa core Snapdragon 616 processor (1.7 GHz ARM Cortex), Redmi 3 Pro comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. The new Redmi 3 Pro also comes with an improved internal storage of 32GB and a micro SD card slot for storage expansion of up to 128GB.
In terms of camera specs, Redmi 3 Pro has a 13MP primary sensor, equipped with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture (with LED blaze), and a secondary sensor of 5MP with f/2.2 aperture (with stage recognition self adjust).
The main feature of Redmi 3 Pro that makes it different and unique among its counterparts is the fingerprint sensor at its back. It runs over MIUI 7 that is covered over Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) and also supports dual SIM (hybrid SIM slot). It ensures that the charge lasts for more than one day with a 4100mAh battery. For connectivity, it includes Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi and GPS/A-GPS.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro smartphone is going to reach out to China on this month at a cost of Rs.9000.
