After the huge success of the high-end and inexpensive Zenfone 2, Asus has come up with Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe. The phone details were not released by the company, yet the Red Dot Design website has come up with photos and information of the new devices. The Zenfone 3 is going to be announced by Asus this year at Computex, during the last week of May or first week of June.
It is said that Taiwanese manufacturer Asus is planning to have a series of Zenfone handsets just like Samsung Galaxy S series. According to Red Dot 21, Zenfone 3 is going to come with 2.5D glass on its front and rear side along with a curved aluminum frame. It will also include a USB Type C port for charging and file transfer, laser autofocus for instant snapshot, front and rear LED flash modules (for selfies) and a fingerprint sensor for spontaneous ID check.
It appears to have a safe design, having a single button at the rear side (fingerprint sensor probably) and capacitive buttons on the front. It is said to come in black, gold, silver and white colors, very similar to Samsung's design. The rear panel will have a camera that is rectangular in shape and not circular.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe will have a full metal body with no seams made of plastic (like in HTC and Apple). It does not compromise on its design like the other metal built Smartphones which face design problems due to antenna lines or some other things. It is just like Samsung and will have a centered physical home button, unlike the Zenfone 2 models. Fingerprint sensor may or may not be included.
The Asus Zenfone 3 series is being described as a mainstream Smartphone that displays beauty of engineering and craftsmanship.
