The latest Android software that Google is working on is the Android N, which is said to be supporting pressure-sensitive display screens in the near future. Although Google has not confirmed as to what this feature will be called, most definitely it will not be tagged as 3D Touch. The latest Android software is supporting Launcher shortcuts, which led developers to discover that it is possible to integrate pressure-sensitive screens in their latest software. Developers were able to find a code somewhere along the process of creating the latest Android software.
During the developer preview of Android N, Google presented the Launcher shortcut feature, which will allow users to execute faster actions in launching apps according to their choice. By its very nature, Google is showing what Apple's 3D Touch is already using with the integration feature that they are introducing. Interestingly, Google will again be imitating an Apple feature, and what's more interesting about is that Google is good at that, copying from others and making it even better. This may not be the first feature that Google derived from Apple, but definitely Google has done things even better all the time compared to Apple.
Google stated that the integration of pressure-sensitive features in Android N was raised by Android device producers, these manufacturers said that it would be easier for them to include the feature rather than creating their own versions. OEMs think that it integrating Android N's pressure-sensitive feature is beneficial for both parties instead of creating individually different pressure-sensitive methods, according to Nashville Chatter Class.
Having the integration of pressure-sensitive feature lets the device determine the difference between soft touch and hard tap to distinguish the command being given. The pressure-sensitive feature will react according to the customization made by its users which makes it quicker to launch the desired apps. The pressure-sensitive feature does not only launch apps quicker but it also saves its users time to navigate from one tab to another or one option to another. It would make comfortable browsing for its users and faster navigation of wanted applications.
In addition, rumors of getting the next line of Google devices integrated with pressure-sensitive features are throwing everywhere. It wouldn't be surprising if the next Nexus models will be support the pressure-sensitive feature in the near future, especially the upcoming flagship of the company, Christian Today reported.
