Sony is all set to release its new flag ship device, the Xperia Z6 this year. Rumors say that the latest device may come in five different variations.
According to BGR, it is also rumored that the company will launch the Xperia Z6 Lite. Sony is known to follow a six month product cycle, and it is rumored that the Xperia Z6 series will be launched at the Mobile World Congress. This event will take place from Feb. 22- 25 in Barcelona, Spain.
The phones which are rumored to be released are Xperia Z6 Mini (4 inches), Xperia Z6 (5.2 inches), Xperia Z6 Compact (4.6 inches), Xperia Z6 Plus (5.8 inches), along with Xperia Z6 Ultra (6.4 inches), according to Android Pit. More details about the specs and features about these upcoming versions are still awaited.
It is also rumored that an Xperia Z6 Lite may be launched later than the others. It will come with a 5-inch display along with a metallic rear cover. It will also be armed with a hexa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 chipset and will be priced at $385. It is expected to hit the market in May 2016.
The rumor says that the Sony Xperia Z6 Compact Premium will be powered with a Snapdragon 820 processor and also come with the very powerful Adreno 530 graphics. It is also expected to sport a screen display of 4.7 inches and that too with a Full HD resolution.
The screen to body ratio is expected to be around 73.8 percent. It is further rumored to be equipped with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can expandable via a micro SD card slot.
Sony Xperia Z6 Compact Premium is also rumored to feature a 23 mega pixel rear camera along with an 8 mega pixel front camera. The phone is further speculated to feature a finger print sensor along with a USB Type C connection port.
Sony shockingly skipped the CES event this year, which was held in the first week of January. Hence, the tech giant is rumored to launch these devices at the MWC event in February. Sony has not confirmed the release date of Xperia Z6 Lite as yet.
