The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to feature an improved version of Galaxy S7's camera and is expected to launch along with a newer version of Gear VR headset.

Samsung is speculated to be working on a sequel for Galaxy Note 5 that was unveiled in August 2015. Speculations suggest that it will be arriving with a USB Type-C, a feature that was anticipated to be available on the Galaxy Note 5 and the newly released Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. Also, the Note 6 is expected to launch with a newer model of Gear VR headset.

According to SamMobile, the Galaxy Note 6 will be featuring a USB Type-C port. However, the publication has not confirmed whether the new connectivity port will be based on USB 3.1 standard or the older one. The newer standard will certainly help in bringing features quicker data transfer speeds, support for video signals via HDMI or Display Port and fast charging.

The USB Type-C port can be found on several flagship smartphones from 2015 and this year feature USB Type-C such as Microsoft Lumia 950, Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, OnePlus 2, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, LG G5, HTC 10 and so on. Hence, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones were rumored to arrive with USB Type-C ports. However, Samsung released both the smartphones with the aging microUSB 2.0 port.

The Samsung Gear VR headset that was launched in November last year features a microUSB slot to connect with compatible Samsung Galaxy phones like S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6 Edge+, S6 and S6 Edge. Now that the Galaxy Note 6 is expected to arrive with USB Type-C port, rumors are indicating that the South Korean company may launch an upgraded edition of Gear VR with USB Type-C port.

Samsung Galaxy Note 6 rumors also suggest that it will feature Galaxy S7's 12-megapixel camera that features a f/1.7 aperture lens. Apart from the usual features like OIS and phase detection autofocus, the rear camera is also expected to support infrared autofocus, Android Geeks reported.

The rumored Galaxy Note 6 specifications and features include 5.8-inch display supporting Quad HD resolution, Snapdragon 823 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of native storage, retina scanner, IP68 certified chassis and 4000 mAh battery.

The final build of Android N is expected to be available by July. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 6 will be coming with Android in July or August this year.
