Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, revealed that their company is set to release a new flagship come second quarter of 2016. Pei stated that their upcoming flagship is set to captivate customers more than OnePlus One did when it was first launched.

The latest OnePlus smarthphone will have new design and an added improved feature. OnePlus 2 seems to be the best seller because of its jam-packed features compared to the OnePlus One but nothing beats the original when it comes to design.

The Android market may be busy in the coming months or so as competing tech giants and other companies are all bound to launch different flagships and devices. With Samsung's latest Galaxy S7 and Note 6, LG's G5, Apple's iPhone 7, the upcoming Sony handset, and not to mention Nexus 2016 by Google created by HTC, the mobile device industry would need more space.

OnePlus 3 is said to be announced officially this coming May and will be launched in a matter of weeks after it becomes official. It has been known to many that OnePlus was tagged as the "flagship killer" when it was first introduced to the public. The release date for OnePlus 3 has been pretty clear but its specs and features are still yet to be confirmed by all concerned parties. Hence, when the OnePlus 3 started creating rumors among fanatics and netizens, specs and features also floated in the internet, Know Your Mobile reported.

OnePlus 3 is said to be using quad core clocking at 1.59GHz Snapdragon 820 processor with Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. It will also come out in a 5 inch full HD display running at 1920x1080 resolution and camera specs of 16MP rear and 8MP front lenses. The more surprising part of the upcoming OnePlus 3 is its rumored gigantic 6GB RAM as reported by one of the known benchmarks in the industry.

OnePlus 3 is currently being listed as Rain Rain A3000 in Geekbench and Rain A3000 in others which created more conflict and rumors. These different listings may only mean that OnePlus 3 could come out in different variants as well like other tech companies do with Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge or Apple's iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, GSM Arena reported.
