HP is looking to revive the PC segment with its new Pavilion Wave and Elite Slice computers. The company recently unveiled these beefed up PCs at the IFA in Berlin, Germany. These computers are minimal in their design and pack impressive features.

The Pavilion Wave is a triangle shaped PC tower and is encased in a muted color fabric. According to PCWorld, the tower houses a column of ports running vertically. It has a mono audio unit encased between PC components. On the top of the tower is a parabolic reflector which has a special coating to offer 360-degree sound effects. It also has a built-in dual noise canceling microphone to give superior performance.

Wave is capable of handling up to two 4K displays. The default GPU is Intel HD 530 with the option of upgrading to AMD R9 M470 discrete GPU. It also offers various ports such as an SD card reader, a combo audio jack, and a DisplayPort.

HP offers customization offers through its website where buyers can configure their Wave to meet their requirements. The options include Intel 6th-generation (Skylake) quad-core CPUs in core i3 to core i7 variants and GB to 16GB of DDR4 memory. The storage options for Wave consist of hard drives with up to 2TB capacity and hybrids.

HP also introduced its Elite Slice desktops which are mainly geared towards office users. According to Digital Trends, users can add components without opening up the PC. The desktop is space saving with a dimension of 6.5 x 1.38 x 6.5 inches and weight of 2.31 pounds.

Both the Pavilion Wave and Elite Slice would hit the market later this month. The price tag for the Wave starts at $440 while the initial tab for the Elite Slice is $700.
