Alcatel Shine Lite Smartphone With MediaTek MT6737 SoC and 2GB RAM Launched at IFA 2016 for $225

The Alcatel Shine Lite smartphone has been launched at the IFA 2016 event for $225 (199 Euros or approximately Rs. 15,000).

According to Phone Radar, the Alcatel Shine Lite has been added to the entry level segment. It has a 5-inch diagonal touchscreen IPS display with a high-definition resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and curved 2.5D technology surrounding the metal body. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.3 GHz.

The Alcatel Shine Lite comes with a 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It features a fingerprint scanner at the back. It is 4G enabled and supports a single SIM or dual SIM dual standby option.

The Alcatel Shine Lite features a 13-megapixel camera at the back with dual-tone flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, The Indian Express reported. The front camera sports gesture shot, split catcher, face show, and easy shot. Videos can be captured in 720p at 30 frames per second. The video playback can also be in 1080p at 30 frames per second.

The Alcatel Shine Lite is packed with a 2460 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery that can last an entire day on normal usage. It will be available in white and gold colors when it goes on sale from November. The connectivity options of the device are Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, and micro USB 2.0 port.
