All Moto branded smartphones that will be released in this year will arrive with fingerprint sensors
Chen Xudong, who is the SVP of Lenovo Group and President for the firm for China and Asia Pacific regions has revealed that the all the Moto branded smartphones that will be launched in 2016 will feature a fingerprint scanner, Android Beat reported. It means that the Moto G midrange smartphone will also feature a fingerprint sensor.
He also added that all the Moto branded phones will either feature 5-inch or above sized displays. The Moto brand will be mainly used by the company to launch high-end phones whereas the Vibe moniker from Lenovo will be used for budget devices. Both Moto and Vibe brands will account for 15 smartphones in this year.
Xudong also added that the Google services will finally penetrate the Chinese markets before the year comes to an end. At present, the Google Play Store is unavailable for Chinese markets. All Android users make use of third-party app stores to download apps. Hence, when the Google Play Store becomes available officially by the end of 2015, it will have to compete with the local stores to gain popularity.
Also, Lenovo and Motorola will be working together to build a new UI. However, it will be only available to the users by next year, NDTV reported.
All the Moto branded smartphones such as Moto X 2016 and Moto G 2016 will not sport the Motorola moniker. Instead, future smartphones from the company will sport the Lenovo brand name. However, Moto branded smartphones will continue to sport the 'M' logo on their rear panels.
Rumors have it that the Moto X 2016 is already under construction. The fourth generation Moto X is expected to be fueled by Snapdragon 820 chipset.
A recently leaked photo had revealed that it will be arriving with full-metal design. However, it will still carry support for Moto Maker customization.
The image of the back panel revealed that it will be coming with a large camera sensor which may be indication that the Moto X 2016 will be arriving with an improved camera. Another rumor has revealed that a heat pipe will inside the smartphone for passive cooling.
