The Chinese manufacturer Huawei has announced MediaPad M2 10.0 tablet at CES.
The device features a 10-inch display with a resolution of 1200 pixels x 1920 pixels. The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 comes with 2GB of RAM and is powered by 2GHz octa-core Kirin 930 processor. It has 16GB of internal storage that users can expand up to 128GB through a microSD card.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, according to a PC Advisor report. The tablet, which measures 239.80 x 172.70 x 7.30, has a 6660mAh non removable battery.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 weighs 500.00 grams and runs Android 5.1 operating system. According to Huawei, the device offers a fantastic visual and audio experience. The tablet has four speakers, according to Digital Trends.
Two of the speakers are located on the bottom of Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 and two are on the top. The speakers have an amplifier with Clari-fi Audio Restoration and support SWS 2.0 Surround Sound.
Connectivity options include GPS and Wi-Fi. Sensors on the Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 include gyroscope, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.
Huawei said that with ultra-powerful surround sound from the speakers and advanced audio technology, the tablet provides a clearer and more immersive acoustic experience.
The company further said that the device redefines what users can do with it. Thanks to an entirely new touch screen, users can draw pictures, write text and open apps with a stylus. For the first time, a next-generation fingerprint sensor gives users the secure identification they have always wanted on an Android tablet.
It is expected that the new tablet will come in the U.S. in Q1 of this year and will be available in Moonlight Silver or Luxurious Gold.
The 64 GB premium version of Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 with Wi-Fi will cost around $419 and the 64 GB premium version of the tablet with LTE and Wi-Fi support will cost around $469.
The 16 GB standard version of the device with Wi-Fi will cost around $349 and the 16 GB standard version of Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 with LTE and Wi-Fi support will cost around $399.
