The widely-anticipated Pokemon Go Plus device has been released. While some players are enjoying it, others have complained that the Pokemon Go wearable comes with a few noticeable issues. For example, higher levels offer more PokeBall choices to use when catching Pokemon, but players who are using the Pokemon Go Plus device apparently only have a regular PokeBall to catch a good 'mon.
A frustrated Redditor showed a notification for Pokemon Go when using the accessory. One out of three times a Pokemon can be caught, but all them escaped. Another Reddit user said he has encountered 21 Pokemon but only caught five. He was hoping for more options on the Plus such as the ability to choose the kind of ball to use, among others.
According to Polygon, the Pokemon Go Plus appears to be good for tracking distance and getting items from PokeStops. However, catching a high-level Pokemon can depend on just luck.
On a different note, Pokemon Go Plus can catch Pokemon which have not been encountered by the player. It appears that low-level uncaught and rare unseen Pokemon can still be easily caught using the device.
Meanwhile, some players having troubleshooting issues with the device say links lead them to the Frequently Asked Questions page and clicking for the Pokemon Go Plus FAQs only shows an "under construction" page.
The Pokemon Go Plus comes with a $35 price tag and it can be synced with a user's phone via Bluetooth. It will light up and vibrate when a user passes by a PokeStop or wild pocket monster. The player can catch Pokemon with a standard PokeBall by just a tap of a button. It can also track the user's steps.
