Leaked photos of the upcoming Pixel and Pixel XL, smartphones both from Google, have surfaced on the internet.
According to Android Police, the photos show that both units have a metal body. Although it could be noted that the lighting in the said photos must have affected the looks of the Pixel and Pixel XL. However, it appears that both devices have the same light aluminum finish.
The front side of the phones look sleek, with the Pixel's screen measuring 5 inches, and the Pixel XL's a wide 5.5 inches. Although both displays are on, it is pretty plain, denying us the chance to find more details except for what is believed to be the new boot animation that would be featured on the Pixel.
An image of the back of the devices was also leaked with the top back portion covered with glass. The image shows that a fingerprint sensor is located in the middle of the back glass panel.
BGR reported the photos were not officially released by Google; this has led some to question their credibility. However, the phones featured in the leaked photos appear similar to the phones featured in a Nest commercial that Google released in the Netherlands.
Google will unveil its Pixel smartphones next month. Google has been silent on the details of the devices.
The 5-inch Pixel is expected to sell for $649, and the larger Pixel XL is expected to sell for a higher price.
