The Sony Xperia XZ smartphone has been unveiled in India.
The Xperia XZ has a price tag of $751.11 (around Rs 49,990) in India, Phone Radar reported. It will go on sale on Oct. 10 and can be pre-ordered starting Oct. 1. It would be exclusive to Amazon India online and available in Sony outlets across the nation.
According to Phone Arena, the Xperia XZ is also now officially available for purchase in the US. It can be snagged on Amazon for $700 (approximately Rs. 46,588.46) in black or silver color.
The Xperia XZ was announced at IFA this year alongside the Sony X Compact smartphone.
The Xperia XZ utilizes a new trademarked aluminum material named ALKALEIDO to give a premium feel in the hand and to be extremely smooth. It is rated with IP65/68, making it water and dust resistant.
The Xperia XZ has a 5.2-inch full high-definition IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a Corning Gorilla glass to protect from scratches. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. It runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based custom operating system out of the box.
The Xperia XZ comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB or 64 GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card. It also comes with dual SIM capability using hybrid SIM slot.
The Xperia XZ features a new massive 23-megapixel IMX300 sensor that includes triple sensing autofocus, phase detection autofocus, color detection, and laser. It also features a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. It offers manual controls in the camera app and can shoot 4K and slow-motion videos.
The Xperia XZ is packed with a 2900 mAh capacity battery. Other connectivity options of the device include an NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, Cat 4 LTE, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port. The device has a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button present on its right edge.
