First Retail-Only Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus Smartphone Launched for Purchase Exclusively Offline in India

The first retail-only Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus smartphone has been launched for purchase exclusively offline in India.

According to Phone Radar, the Redmi 3S Plus is the first offline retail-only smartphones released by Chinese mobile company Xiaomi. It is under the Redmi Series with the regular price tag of $142.57 (around Rs. 9499). On Best Buy the device is priced at $132.06 (approximately Rs. 8799).

The Redmi 3S Plus has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, Android Central reported. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.1 GHz. The device is accompanied by the Adreno 505 GPU for carrying out graphic-related tasks.

The Redmi 3S Plus comes with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card. It features a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling tasks. The device comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back.

The Redmi 3S Plus is packed with a 4100 mAh non-removable battery. It measures 139.30 x 69.60 x 8.50 mm and weighs 144.00 grams. The device is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts micro-SIM and nano-SIM.

The Redmi 3S Plus has sensors such as ambient light, proximity, gyroscope, and accelerometer. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, FM, 3G, 4G with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India.

The Redmi 3S Plus is now on sale. More than 7000 retailer outlets across the nation have received the units at their stores already, including Sangeetha and Big C.
