Asus released four new devices at its Zenvolution event, held in New York City on Wednesday. These devices include the ZenBook 3 notebook and Transformer 3 2-in-1 convertibles. Apart from this, the company also introduced the ZenFone 3 smartphone, ZenPad 3S tablet, and ZenWatch 3.
ZenBook 3 is an ultra-lightweight notebook with a 12.5-inch screen. It is powered by an Intel 7th gen Core i7 processor. The other variation of the notebook comes with an i5 processor. The device features 16 GB of RAM and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Users can choose between a 256 GB SATA SSD or a 512 GB PCIe NVMe SSD. The notebook comes with one USB-C port and weighs only 2lbs.
Asus also introduced four ZenFone 3 devices; the ZenFone 3 Deluxe Special Edition, ZenFone 3 Deluxe 5.7, Deluxe 5.5, and ZenFone Laser. The Deluxe Special and Deluxe editions smartphone come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display screen and have Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processors under their hood. The phones sport 6GB of RAM. The Deluxe Special Edition comes with 256 GB of storage capacity. Both phones have 23MP ASUS PixelMaster 3.0 cameras.
Asus is also bringing its new convertibles and tablets to the market; the Transformer 3 Pro, Transformer 3 Minimalistic, and ZenPad 3S. The Transformer 3 Pro comes with a 12.6-inch screen and 16GB of RAM while the Transformer 3 Mini features a 10.1-inch screen. Mini comes with a detachable keyboard and weighs only 1.75lbs.
Asus is looking to boost its presence in the wearable tech market with the ZenWatch 3, which features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display with two finger touch and gesture support. The watch is priced at $229 and will be available starting November.
