Microsoft has scheduled a special Windows 10 event for October 26. The event will be held in New York City. The company is currently sending out invitations. However, there is not much information about the possible releases at the event. It is highly likely that the company may be gearing to introduce Surface PC-related hardware.

The Verge reported that the tech giant is likely to introduce an All in One desktop PC. Microsoft is not expected to refresh its Surface Book or Surface Pro 4 devices. The climax of the event will be the unveiling of OEM devices. The event will be livestreamed by the company.

The Microsoft Fall Hardware Event is likely to also focus on the future course of action for Windows 10. Microsoft plans to make two major software updates for Windows 10 in 2017. The event may see the company elaborating upon the features of these updates. The new updates are likely to broaden the integration of Window 10 with the Xbox gaming system.

Microsoft recently delivered an Anniversary update for the Windows 10. The update delivered a number of new features such as Smart Stickies, enhanced Cortana abilities and Windows Hello biometric authentication. This feature will let users login to the apps using their finger print or their face. However, it requires compatible hardware.

Apart from these, the update also brings improvements to Microsoft's Edge browser. After installing the updates, users can enhance their browser with extensions. Another feature related to Windows Ink enhances the usability of stylus-like tools.
