Tesla CEO Elon Musk has revealed on Twitter that the company would hold two events this month.
The first event is set for October 17, where an "unexpected" product is expected to be unveiled. The event will be followed up by another on October 28. It is likely that the second event would see the launch of a residential solar roof featuring integrated batteries.
Speculations are running wild about the unexpected product that Tesla is set to launch. It is highly likely that Tesla may introduce a new vehicle. It is also possible that the company would introduce an updated autonomous driving feature. While Tesla recently introduced its Autopilot 8.0 update, Musk has noted that Tesla is making fast progress on self-driving.
Tesla may be looking to make some announcements regarding Model 3 as well. The company may provide updates about its Powerpack and Powerwall products at the upcoming event. Powerwall is a home battery which uses solar panels for generating electricity. It offers backup electricity solution.
Meanwhile, a new solar roof, which is a joint product of Tesla and SolarCity, is likely to be unveiled later this month. Tesla agreed to buy SolarCity for $2.6 billion earlier this year. Musk has said that Tesla is not planning to raise any funds through equity or debt in the fourth quarter of the year. There are rumors that Tesla may not have enough liquidity to finance its acquisition.
