The Google Pixel smartphone is now on the market. But how does it fare against other Android flagship smartphones such as the Asus Deluxe Special Edition Zenfone 3?
When it comes to performance, according to a Geekbench test, the Google Pixel achieved a sore of 1,648 and 4,121 on the single-core and multi-core tests respectively. Meanwhile, the Asus Deluxe SE Zenfone 3 has no available score as yet. However, it is interesting to note that the Asus Deluxe SE Zenfone 3 with only a Snapdragon 820 onboard got a 5,420 score on its multi-core test. The Asus phone also comes with a 6 GB of RAM compared to the Pixel's 4 GB so it may be safe to assume that the Zenfone 3 wins over the Pixel in overall performance.
The Asus phone features a 23 megapixels rear camera and an eight megapixels front shooter, while the Pixel has a 12 megapixels rear camera with an eight megapixels selfie snapper.
Google is targeting photographers with the new Pixel handsets and plans to replace the Apple iPhone camera which is currently the most used camera on image hosting site Flickr.
The Pixel has an intelligent personal assistant which functions similar to Apple's Siri. Google's Assistant can help users to book dinner reservations and find easier traffic routes with just voice commands. Other specs include a 5-inch 2560 x 1440 Quad HD screen and 32 GB or 128 GB of internal storage options. The smartphone also comes with a 2,770 mAh battery unit with USB Type-C charging. On the other hand, the Zenfone 3 comes with a massive 3,000 mAh power source.
