Microsoft is set to hold an event this month where the latest developments on Windows 10, Xbox, and Surface devices will be revealed. On Oct. 26 in New York, the public will be updated on the latest information about Microsoft's latest products.

The event is expected to focus on Windows 10 and Microsoft's cloud based-solutions. These services allow users to access their Microsoft accounts on notebooks, desktops, and smartphones that run on Windows 10 Mobile, as well as iOS and Android devices which sport the software.

At the event, Microsoft is also speculated to shed light on a new hardware that the company is developing.

Insiders say that Microsoft is developing a desktop computer which is the best platform to showcase the power of Windows 10. The device is rumored to be called the Surface PC or Surface All-In-One.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book will not get any updated this year. This could be because the pressure to boost 2-in-1 devices is lower than that of smartphones.

Both the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book still lead the market in terms of price and performance, but the Surface Pro 4 is already seeing big discounts on Amazon. Customers can save about $585 on the Surface Pro 4 1 TB variant featuring an Intel Core i7e and 16 GB of RAM and about $260 USD on the 256 GB variant.
