Following the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung will launch two Galaxy S8 models: a 2K 5.1-inch display and a device with a 5.5-inch 4K screen called Galaxy S8 Plus.

According to Weibo, both devices are expected to sport curved Super AMOLED displays - without the edge branding this time. The resolution of the device is said to be at 3,840 x 2,160 with a pixel density of 806 pixels per inch (ppi).

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus at the Mobile World Congress 2017 on Feb. 26. The company also launched the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge at the same trade show this year. Samsung is likely to address concerns regarding the safety of the devices. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will be feature-rich with a premium, sleek and elegant design.

Samsung is expected to use a dual camera set-up on the Galaxy S8 Plus rear and both devices will come with the next-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor.

Samsung has received a lot of flak recently. The company launched a massive worldwide recall of the Galaxy Note 7 because of exploding batteries. The South Korean tech giant has stopped the manufacturing of the device. There are rumors that the Galaxy Tab S3 will also be launched in mid-2017 as Samsung has already applied for FCC certification. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is likely to come with a curved-edged display and in two variants: 8-inch and 9.7-inch displays with 4K technology and AMOLED panel.
