The developers at The Coalition have released a tiny update for "Gears of War 4" game on Sunday.

"Our Online Services team continue to work around the clock on rectifying some of the matchmaking issues encountered by players. We have deployed another server side update which we anticipate will improve matchmaking times." The Coalition noted on the Gears of War forums. "We'll be monitoring its impact closely."

"Gears of War 4" is available to everybody as the standard edition of the game was released on Oct. 11. However, thousands of players attempting to play the game find themselves waiting a few dozen hours to find someone to play with.

Matchmaking was supposed to be improved on the new game  Gamers searching for a match in any mode--from KOTH to Dodgeball and all in-between-- found themselves running into a number of problems.

Microsoft's biggest release of the year has got fans complaining about having to wait for long periods trying to get a match. The game says that finding a match will take at least three minutes. But players have complained about spending five to 10-plus minutes waiting for the game.

Sometimes the cover-based shooter game cannot find a match at all.  "Gears of War 4" is said to often put gamers in a match that is not full. The game then fails to populate the match with bots or new players, implying that a person is required to play out an unfair 3 vs 5 rounds. One cannot leave these games without incurring a leaving penalty.
