HTC is expected to launch its next-gen flagship phone that will replace the HTC 10 early in 2017. New images and a video have given users an early look of the upcoming device.

The video shows a button-less smartphone dubbed as "Ocean." It comes with a touch-sensitive frame which allows a user to interact with the phone without touching it.

There are speculations that HTC will launch an Ocean phone series which includes the Ocean Master, Ocean Note, and Ocean Smart.

HTC has not confirmed these devices but the concept video shows a phone with a 5.5-inch Quad HD Dual Edge Display with a waterproof aluminum case and dual-stereo speakers. It could also possibly come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor and 6 GB of RAM.

The HTC 11 is likely to come with a dual 12 megapixels and eight megapixels rear camera with an eight megapixels wide angle front camera. It will likely have a reversible USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The device could also feature DualBand, WiFi and WiFi Hotspot, GPS with A - GPS, Direct, BDS, Beidou, GLONASS, Infrared, NFC, Bluetooth v4.3. The smartphone would have the ability to run heavy apps with ease and is expected to offer a great gaming experience.

The HTC 11 will compete with the Samsung Galaxy S8 which would also be released next year. But after the Galaxy Note 7 debacle, HTC may just have an advantage over the competition. HTC has not made any official announcement about the HTC 11 device and readers are advised to take this information with a grain of salt.
