Google has taken steps to fix one of the biggest problems faced by smartphone users. Users with a broken smartphone screen have to wait for a long time to get the phone back in operational state. However, Google has partnered with uBreakiFix to offer walk-in repair option for users with the new Pixel phones.
UBreakiFix is a technology repair chain and has over 240 locations across the USA and Canada. The chain has its presence in 187 cities in these two countries. The shops offer reliable repair services and in many cases may also provide the same-day option.
The prices of the services would vary according to the requirements. However, the replacement of Google Pixel phone screen is expected to cost $129.99 while the price tag for Pixel XL is set at $149.99. The repair of battery or charging port on either of these devices is likely to cost $79.99.
Users can also opt for mail-in repair of the devices. Using this service, Pixel owners may simply send their phones through mail.
UBreakiFix CEO Justin Wetherill said the company is thrilled to provide high-quality repair services and customer experience. He added that "A broken device shouldn't have to ruin someone's day."
Google unveiled its Pixel phones earlier this month to replace its flagship Nexus brand. The phones are available in two variants, Pixel and Pixel XL. The regular variant comes with a 5-inch screen while the XL features a 5.5-inch display. Both smartphones have the ability to launch Google Assistant from the home button.
