Blizzard announced that the two events so far, Summer Games and the Halloween event, were successful.
"The two events that we've had so far have shown us we have a great model for follow-on content," Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime said during an earnings call. "We've found that it stimulates our audience and drives record engagement, so you should expect to see more events, like summer games and Halloween, and additional content, which we'll discuss in more detail later."
That is not all. Plays.tv, the PC app and site enables you to capture all cool moment in Overwatch, can now be shared with your friends, thanks to its new integration with Blizzard's popular team-based shooter.
Plays.tv will now automatically record players' matches and tag special moments like eliminating, multi-kills, resurrections, and Plays of the Game (Overwatch's highlight arrangement that everybody gets to see at the close of a match).
This will make it simpler than ever for Overwatch's aggressive and casual players to share their most victorious moments on the Plays.tv site, which the firm says has 12 million users a month.
Overwatch fans have reacted strongly to the characters Blizzard has created, generating amazing fan art and fan fiction. Overwatch is a completely multiplayer experience yet filled with unique and lively characters that give each character a novel backstory that binds them all together.
The newest addition to Overwatch's stable of playable characters is 'Sombra.'
