AMD has announced that the new Radeon Pro WX video cards, based on the Polaris architecture, will soon hit the market. These new series of video cards are slated to replace the FirePro brand.
AMD is planning to release three versions of the Radeon Pro WX videos cards. All these video cards are aimed at workstations. AMD promises that this new line of product will pack plenty of processing power with an impressive power efficiency rating.

AMD said that these video cards support DisplayPort 1.4, a technology that could allow them to support 5K HDR resolution once it becomes available, according to PC World.
The entry level of the bunch is the WX 4100. This specific graphics card is designed to fit on a small computer. It packs 16 compute units with 1024 stream processors. It has 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM and 2TFlops of computer power. The graphics card is capable of powering up to four 4K displays or a single 5K display at a stunning 60Hz refresh rate. The card is set to be rolled out on Nov. 10 and is expected to have a price tag of $399, according to Tech Radar.
Slated for the mid-range market is the WX 5100 which packs 28 compute units and 1782 stream processors. This model has 8GB of GDDR5 VRAM and has 3.9TFlops of computing power. The video card is expected to hit the market on Nov. 18 and will cost $499.
Completing the trio is the WX 7100 which is aimed at enthusiasts and virtual reality content creators. The video card packs 36 compute units and 2304 stream processors. It has 8GB of GDDR5 VRAM with 5.8TFlops of computer power. This model is expected to be released alongside the WX 5100 and will cost around $799.
AMD claims that all the three video cards come with 24/7 customer support and a three-year warranty. The company said that users could extend the warranty duration for up to seven years.
