The Asus Zenfone 3 Max smartphone has been released in India.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max is the successor to the Asus Zenfone Max that was launched last year. It sports an all-metal body and features a fingerprint scanner placed on the back. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for Jio 4G SIM.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max model number ZC520TL has slightly less powerful specifications and smaller display than the variant with model number ZC550TL. However, both devices run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system based on in-house ZenUI 3.0 with pre-installed bloatware apps. They will be available in gray, gold, and silver color.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL has a 5.2-inch high-definition IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M chipset clocked at a speed of 1.2 GHz and coupled with Mali T720 GPU. It is packed with a 4130 mAh non-removable battery that is rated to give 20 hours of talk time and lasts up to 720 hours on standby.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which can be further extended via a microSD card slot. It features a 13-megapixel camera on the back with 5P lens and LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. It measures 149.5 x 73.7 x 8.55 mm with a weight of 160 grams.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL has a larger 5.7-inch full high-definition IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top. It is powered by the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz and coupled with Adreno 505.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL features the same storage and battery as the previously mentioned variant. It features a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual tone LED flash, and TriTech autofocus system and an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree wide angle lens. It measures 151.4 x 76.24 x 8.3 mm with a weight of 175 grams.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL is priced at $192.42 (around Rs. 12,999) and the Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC553KL at $266.43 (approximately Rs. 17,999).
