An unidentified object falling from the sky crashed into a jade mine in Myanmar. This unknown object was a massive metal cylinder that is thought to be part of a Chinese rocket.
According to state media reports, the drum is estimated to be at 15-feet-long. It was spotted at the crash site sinking in mud on a property owned by a mining company in Hpakant, located in the northern province of Kachin.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident. Smaller debris also fell and crashed onto a roof of a nearby house. Locals reportedly found some Chinese characters written on it.
Locals say that they immediately thought that there was an explosion when this massive metal barrel suddenly fell on Earth and then bounced off the ground some 50 meters across the mine's property, finally resting in a muddy area.
Myanmar Times reported that locals thought that this explosion came from heavy artillery.
Apparently, China launched an experimental X-ray satellite from the Jiuquan satellite launch center that is just around 1,000 miles from Hpakant. Beijing has not yet confirmed that this fallen debris is originally from one of its satellites.
Photos of the fallen metal object have gone viral on social media, showing wiring inside the debris which indicates that it is technological space equipment.
According to space debris expert, Clemens Rumpf of the Southampton University, this debris could be possibly part of the Chinese Long March 11 rocket which was launched on Wednesday. Since Myanmar is in the south of the launch facility, debris may have originated from the rocket's launch trajectory.
