It looks like Google will be playing to its strengths when it comes to its Google Play Music as it aims to deliver the music that people want.

Although other music streaming apps like Spotify try to change the way people listen to music by creating playlists, Google wants to take it further by doing all the work in managing your music. By using all the knowledge that Google has collected about our music preference, what we have listened to, and our favorite artist, it will then generate recommendations or suggestions for our listening pleasure.

Google Play Music will also utilize other signals collected from location, and weather. So the song selection can change based on what you are doing at a specific location, or if the weather changes. The interface will be revamped, so it will be better, and easier to offer a more personalized listening experience. Also, Play Music will automatically download music based on past listening, instead of asking the user. Other music services charge for that can kind of feature.

Yes, services like Pandora, Apple Music, and Spotify are ahead and more popular, but there is nothing that differentiates them from each other. Google Play Music, however, seeks to differentiate itself from the rest.
