One major change is the integration of Skype into Outlook, this allows users to easily manage their schedule as well as meetings. In creating a new event on the Outlook calendar, users will now have a choice to add an option for placing a Skype call.

Should users decide to use the feature, Outlook will include a Skype link in the event description that will redirect users to a Skype meeting. When the scheduled event finally arrives, all attendees can access the link on Outlook and it will launch Skype and automatically join them into the group chat.

Microsoft is also pushing its Skype for Web service. Users without a Skype account can still join these group chats through their computer, as long as they were invited by one of the participants. The Skype for Web service will give these users access to voice calls, group instant messaging and voice chats.

Microsoft posted on the company's official blog, "With the new two-week mini-calendar, your events for the upcoming week are just a tap away. If you need to go farther into the future or past, simply swipe in this section to get a full month view."

At the same time, Microsoft is also adding a three-day view on Outlook. This way, users can access more of their respective schedule at a moment's glance. The update will also allow users to choose the day that will start their week. Should they want their calendar's week to start on Saturday, they can now do it.

In other news, Microsoft also announced that Outlook for Mac will now support full screen viewing option for systems running on OS X Yosemite. The app will also support Split View feature provided that their Apple computer runs on OS X El Capitan.

For the Android platform, the Outlook app has been redesigned. The app now sports a navigation bar that can relocate Files, Mail, People and Calendar tabs to the bottom part of the screen making it easy for users to swipe through feature by using their thumb, according to Information Week.
