"Going into this holiday season, we knew that Nintendo's NES: Classic Edition was going to be a hot item," Toys R Us said. "For shoppers looking to cross this must-have item off their holiday wish list, they can check back with their local Toys R Us store often, as we expect to receive additional consoles between now and Christmas."
Some of the games lined up for the NES Classic Edition are "Super Mario Bros. 3," "The Legend Of Zelda," " Kirby's Adventures" and "Donkey Kong."
Customers can potentially get a NES Classic Edition from eBay, but many may want to reconsider because of the seemingly unscrupulous prices. Amazon has started offering the console but currently it is out of stock. However, it also promised to restock soon.
Gamers, who are in New York City, may have a good chance of getting the NES Classic Edition from the Rockefeller Nintendo Store as this would be the first places to offer more units in the event of a restock. The shortage last for a while, but stocks should be available in time for the holiday season.
Depending on the region, an AC adaptor may or may not be included in the NES Classic Edition package. However, all units come with a free HDMI cable. The system is powered by a USB cable which can also be connected to a TV port or power socket directly. The new Nintendo Mini is light and compact with a body which is just a fraction of the original NES console size.
