Audi's 2018 S5 Sportback is set to make its way to the US market. Tagged as a forbidden car, it is considered one of the most desired models by car enthusiasts. However, it remains scarce.
American buyers interested in the Sportback are finding it difficult to purchase the model since it is not yet on sale in North America.

The good news is that the company had announced before the 2016 LA Auto Show that the forbidden car is set to finally arrive in the US market. The Sportback model will carry a 2.0 liter, 250 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder similar to the Porsche Macan, Q5, and A4 sedan crossovers.
The vehicle's internal will also sport the infotainment and virtual cockpit just like in A4 sedan and A5 coupe. Audi America President Scott Keogh noted that "the A5/S5 will wake up a flattening segment and do exactly what Audi does extremely well. This car has a stunning line, stunning hips, and a stunning rear."
Meanwhile, the 2018 Q5 crossover, which is the company's most successful model in the US, is also expected to arrive in the market next Spring.
The 2018 Audi S5 Sportback was launched in September, and US dealers are expected to sell it as a 2018 model next Spring. The German automobile company has not released the official pricing of its forbidden car.
