AT&T officially launched its DirecTV Now service on Monday, Nov. 28 after several months of promoting it.
The company commemorated the launch by giving out freebies, which could in turn even help further DirecTV Now's goal to take the lead in the industry.

According to Variety, AT&T will be giving away free Apple TVs to new subscribers with a minimum 3-month contract. The company will also be giving away an Amazon Fire TV Stick to those who will sign up for a one-month subscription.
DirecTV Now is offering a subscription plan that includes more than 100 channels for a very low monthly fee of $35. In comparison, Sling TV offers a $20 monthly plan but it also only comes with around 20 channels, while the PlayStation Vue plan costs $40 but it comes with just around 60 channels.
DirecTV's streaming package is worth the consideration as the subscription will stream Disney and Time Warner channels on top of A&E Networks, Discovery Channel, Scripps, HBO, NBC Universal, Viacom, Starz, and several more. MTV, Nickelodeon, and the Cartoon Network could also be on the list, but this is yet to be confirmed. The availability of these channels' will vary according to the location of the viewer.
There are also speculations that DirecTV Now will also have around 14,000 titles in its video library for its on-demand service.
