GoPro has launched a very handy, new accessory for Hero5 cameras; a waterproof, voice-controlled remote control called Remo. The Remo will compliment the GoPro Hero5 cameras as it supports voice control for tasks such as recording controls, taking photos and photo bursts, modes switching and powering off the camera.

GoPro Hero5 cameras are action cameras, but they will still need to be operated during adventures such as snowboarding, kayaking, surfing, skiing and other high activity sports. In such cases, voice control can become difficult to be used properly, especially due to increased background noise that can hinder the camera's microphones from acknowledging voice commands properly. This is where the new Remo accessory comes into play.
The Remo add-on solves the background and environmental noise issues, and that affect the microphone in Hero5 cameras. This voice-controlled remote is a clip-on gadget that is waterproof up to 16 feet, or 5 meters, and has a range of 33 feet, or 10 meters, which allows users to control their cameras even from such distances. Also, Remo responds to voice commands in different languages aside from English, including French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, and Italian.
Remo can also be used as a single-buttoned remote control if you do not feel like speaking out voice commands. It comes with a wrist strap and a clothes clip to make sure it adapts to whatever adventure you may indulge in.
The GoPro Remo comes with the Hero5 Black and Hero5 Session, and only works with newer models that support voice commands. It is not compatible with older GoPro cameras.
The new GoPro Remo waterproof, voice-controlled remote is available at $79.99 and can be purchased directly from GoPro, Amazon, and retailers across the world.
