Pokemon Go is partnering with Starbucks. (YouTube)
Following the news that Starbucks would be running promotions for Niantic, including serving a Pokémon Go Frappucino, new Pokemon Go Gen 2 details have also been leaked.
While it is not exactly clear if Niantic will be including the Legendary birds in the new Pokemon Go update, Starbucks has revealed that it would kick off with 100 new Gen 2 Pokémon's. Also, 7,800 Starbucks stores will be turned into Gyms and PokeStops. Starbucks will also offer trainers a limited Pokemon Go Frappucino blended from vanilla bean, raspberry syrup, and dried blackberries, and of course, topped with the signature whipped cream.

If Starbucks' leaks are true and Gen 2 Pokémon's will be appearing in the next update, it is advisable to save up more candies rather than using them to upgrade the Pokemon's available in the Pokedex.
According to Forbes, here are 10 Gen 1 Pokemon's that have another evolution in Gen 2:
Poliwag (evolves into Politoed)
Slowpoke (evolves into Slowking)
Zubat (evolves into Crobat)
Eevee (evolves into Espeon and Umbreon)
Horsea (evolves into Kingdra)
Porygon (evolves into Porygon2)
Scyther (evolves into Scizor)
Chansey (evolves into Blissey)
Onix (evolves into Steelix)
Oddish (evolves into Bellossom)
Earlier this year, Niantic announced that Pokémon breeding would be part of the game so, it comes at no surprise that the Gen 2 Pokémon's will include gender. The most exciting part is that the new update might include appearance updates. This festive season, the game might be adding festive costumes for Pokémon's.
Niantic believes that Starbucks is a great platform for the company's promotions. It is one way to recapture players and bring back the buzz for the game.
According to Detroit Free Press, Niantic CEO John Hanke said in a statement that "The physical locations component of the collaboration is important to us as we look for ways to use technology to encourage exploration, exercise and real world social interaction."
