Apple, on Tuesday, rolled out the new iOS 10.2 update introducing a "Panic" button for iPhone and iPad users in India. The emergency button would make a safety call when the power button is rapidly pressed a specific number of times.

The move, a first for Apple to add an India-specific feature, comes as a part of the country's compulsory ruling. After upgrading to the iOS 10.2, users can go to the Settings menu and click on General to personalize the panic button settings which include the specific number of times the power button must be clicked to make an automatic call to the number "112."  The number is set to go live across the country starting January 1, 2017.

In its latest update, Apple has brought a host of new features and corrected the bugs reported in the iOS 10.1.1 update. This update, for users of iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, is the second time Apple has upgraded the iOS 10 after it was launched in October.

Among other features, the Live Photos feature has been upgraded to improve stabilization and achieve a quicker frame rate. The camera app's zooming problem has also been fixed. It can also preserve previously used settings now. The problem with the "Memories" feature, which generateS a memory from receipts, screenshots, and whiteboards has also been rectified.

Additionally, Apple has also added 100 new emojis across categories of food, animals, jobs, games, and faces along with three new wallpapers (for the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices). Many effects have been added to the iMessages app. Some prominent issues with the keyboard and Mail app have also been fixed.

Issues with the Safari browser have also been resolved, in which articles would open as empty pages, and the browser would close unexpectedly. The Apple Music app and Apple TV have also been updated. The company has also released a new update for its smartwatches i.e. the WatchOS 3.1.1. However, it is not clear if the device's battery issues have been resolved with the update.
