Most smartphone manufaturers are aiming to release Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade for their devices starting early in this year. The firmware is expected to bring improved user interface, better security and newer features.

Samsung

Apart from the flagships of 2015 such as Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, and Note 5, the Galaxy Tab S2 table is slated to receive Android 6.0 early this year, GSM Arena reported. The update will also be made available for other Samsung phones such as Galaxy S6 Active, Note 4, Note Edge, S5, S5 LTE-A, Alpha, A7, and A8.

Sony

Apart from the newly released Sony Xperia Z5 series phones, other Xperia smartphones like Z3+, Z4, Z3V,  Z3 and Z2 series smartphones and tablets, C5 Ultra, C4, M5, M4 Aqua, and Z Ultra GPE are poised to get updated to Android M at the start of this year.

LG

Several smartphones from the company such as LG V10, LG G4, LG G4 Stylo, LG G Flex and LG G3 will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow early 2016.

HTC

HTC will be releasing Android 6.0 upgrade for numerous smartphones such as One M9+, M9, One E9+, One E9, One M8, One M8 Eye, One ME, One M8, One E8 at the start of 2015. Other HTC smartphones that will Android M update soon are HTC Butterfly 3, Desire 826, 820 and 816.

Motorola

Motorola has released Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade for several smartphones. It is expected to finish the Android M roll out in the beginning of this year for Moto X Pure Edition (2015) and (2014), Moto G (2015), Moto G (2014), Moto G 4G (2014), Droid Turbo 2, Moto Maxx 2, Moto Maxx and Droid Turbo. The Moto E (2015) is also expected to get Android M update soon, International Business Times reported.

Xiaomi

A slew of Xiaomi devices such as Mi Note 2, Redmi 2, Redmi M2 Prime, Mi 4i, Mi 4, Mi Note, Mi Note Pro are expected to get the latest Android build along with an updated MIUI version

Huawei

The Ascend series devices such as P8, P8 Max, G8, A7; the Honor series smartphones such as Honor 6 Plus, 7i 7, 4X, 4C, and other devices like Mate S, Mate 7, and MediaPad X2 are going to blessed with Android 6.0 update soon.

Lenovo

Lenovo will be releasing Android 6.0 upgrade for smartphones like K3 Note, A7000, A7000, ZUK Z1, Vibe P1 and S1.

OnePlus

The Android M with the latest OxygenOS is expected to arrive for OnePlus 2, OnePlus X and OnePlus One smartphones.

Asus

Asus is poised to roll out Android 6.0 upgrade for ZenFone 2 and its variants like Laser and Deluxe; ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Go and Padfone S early this year.

Android One and Other Devices

Several Android One devices like Micromax Canvas A1, Nexian Journey One, MyPhone Uno, Karbonn Sparkle V, Mito Impact A10, Cherry Mobile One, Spice Dream Uno are slated for early Android 6.0 upgrade this year. The update will also be available Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 and BlackBerry Priv.
