A new smartphone listed as M612Q and M612M by Meizu has been spotted on TENAA, China's telecommunications equipment certification center.

Images have been leaked from the website, and the device is speculated to be the Meizu M5S. The design of this device is identical to that of the Meizu M5 Note, making the Meizu M5S the smaller version of the Note. Both models of the rumored Meizu M5S also passed the China Compulsory Certification (3C).
The rumored Meizu M5S sports a 5.2-inch HD screen with a fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button just below the display. The device sports a metal unibody similar to that of the Meizu M5 Note. It weighs about 138g, lighter than the Note's 175g. It also measures 148.2 x 72.53 x 8.4mm. The Meizu M5S is rumored to run on FlyMe 6.0, a custom operating system for Meizu which is based from the Android OS 6.0 Marshmallow. The device is powered by an octa-core processor, clocked at 1.3GHz with internal storage options of 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB and RAM options of 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB. The smartphone will feature a 13 megapixels main snapper with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, 5P Lens and a 5 megapixels front camera with 4/2.0 aperture and 4P Lens. The Meizu M5S will pack a 2,930mAh non-removable battery.
Meizu is expected to unveil the new smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 next month in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Meizu M5S will be available in four colors; Silver, Gray, Gold and Rose Gold. There has been no official announcement about the pricing of the Meizu M5S, but it is expected to fall in the same price range as the Meizu M5.
