The Gionee M2017 smartphone made its debut in the market recently.
The device comes with a 7,000 mAh capacity battery, which is achieved through two 3,500 mAh battery units.
The 7,000 mAh battery capacity also has a smart power management system which can allegedly support up to 25 hours of continuous video playback and more than 915 hours of standby time, just on a single charge. With Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 in the mix, fast charging is a plus.

What makes the Gionee M2017 aesthetically intriguing is its metal build, which has a contrasting leathery material on its back. The device boasts of a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and even has sapphire glass protection for additional scratch resistance.
Internally, this 4G smartphone packs a midrange processor; a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 653. However, it is paired with high-end hardware such as Adreno 510 graphics and 6 GB of RAM. The Gionee M2017 also features 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support, a dual rear camera system at 12 and 13 megapixels respectively, with an 8 megapixels front camera. This smartphone runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow at factory default and is upgradable. It also is packed with Gionee's Amigo OS 3.5 on top of the Android framework. The Gionee M2017 also has a fingerprint scanner below the display.
The Gionee M2017 is available in two editions and comes in Gold and Black color. The standard model goes for approximately $1,007, while the upgraded edition that comes with a custom alligator leather back goes for about $2,446. These prices are for the 128 GB models only.
The new Gionee M2017 smartphone is currently up for pre-order in China and details regarding when the smartphone will reach other markets are yet to be announced.
