The well-known partnership between car manufacturers Toyota and BMW is being strengthened as an inter-species car could hit the market soon. The vehicle, which would be a combination of BMW's Bimmer DNA and Toyota Corolla's genetic profile, will be built upon Toyota's TNGA, its new global architecture.

There are several speculations about the features of the upcoming Toyota Corolla car. There are varying opinions about the strength of BMW's models that could be incorporated to make this interspecies car compensate for the weaknesses in Corolla. Bimmer' turbocharged 2.0 liter and the 3.0 liter inline six are the main contenders for the features that will be used in the hybridization.

With the kind of strong partnership Toyota and BMW share, it is not hard to imagine that both companies could work to come up with a much faster, stronger, and more reliable model of the Corolla, Top Speed reported. Currently, the two companies are collaborating on the production of Toyota Supra, which will most probably be powered by a BMW gasoline engine.

BMW's involvement is expected to make the Corolla a more reliable vehicle. Toyota Corolla has thrived in the international market since the mid-1960s.

However, with 132 horsepower and a torque of 128-pound feet, the Corolla is not the best when it comes to speed. This is where a major improvement could take place using BMW's Bimmer's horsepower and torque. The speed could be enhanced while maintaining the features of Corolla that the market is in love with, such as its reliability. The result can be an automobile of its kind!
