Technology major Samsung Electronics has introduced a laundry machine system, which includes two washers and two dryers. The machine can wash normal and bulky loads, dry delicate and non-delicate clothing, and run up to four loads simultaneously.

Samsung's latest laundry machine is set to be unveiled at CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The "FlexWash + FlexDry" laundry system incorporates a range of core Samsung laundry technologies and provides the most advanced and flexible laundry solution to meet the needs of busy modern families.

Each laundry compartment within the two machines includes unique features to tackle daily wash needs.

1. The FlexWash front-loader is equipped with five cubic feet of capacity to handle normal or bulky loads.
   

2. The FlexWash top-loader, adding another cubic foot of capacity, washes smaller loads separately from the main load. 
   

3. The FlexDry can dry large laundry loads with the added flexibility to tackle a few delicate items at the same time. It uses Samsung's MultiSteam technology to freshen and disinfect clothes while reducing odors and wrinkles.
   

4. There is a special zone at the top of the dryer called the Delicate Rack zone in which users can lay clothes flat and gently dry delicates with a controlled and heated air flow.
   

"We are striving to give consumers the freedom and flexibility to adjust the laundry process for the way they live, not the other way around." said Seo Byung-Sam, President of Home Appliances at Samsung Electronics.

According to a Samsung research in the United States, 87 percent of the consumers surveyed sort their laundry into lights and darks, different fabric types, and degrees of dirtiness, while 70 percent of the consumers surveyed run two or more back-to-back washes. The new FlexWash + FlexDry laundry approach has been developed to transform the marketplace by operating all four compartments separately and simultaneously addressing strong consumer demand to wash clothes faster while still keeping items separate.

The new FlexWash washer uses three core Samsung laundry technologies:

1. SuperSpeed - shortens wash cycles to as little as 30 minutes from the usual 60 minutes.
2. PowerFoam - uses an innovative mixture of water, air, and detergent to deep clean even the bulkiest items with the power of foam.
3. Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) - minimizes vibration and keeps the noise level down.

The FlexWash + FlexDry system is IoT-enabled and controllable by smartphones with the Samsung Smart Home app. Users will be able to start, stop, and monitor every cycle for both machines.
